LITTLE ROCK -- Christopher Lee, MD, has joined the Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
He will also serve as an assistant professor in the UAMS College of Medicine's Department of Ophthalmology. Lee specializes in glaucoma.
Lee comes to UAMS from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he completed his residency and fellowship, following an internship in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
A graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, he earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
His clinical interests include medical and surgical glaucoma, cataracts and comprehensive ophthalmology. His research interests focus on the effect of glaucoma on the retina as it pertains to injections for treatment of glaucoma. During his residency, Lee was part of a research team that developed a handheld mobile device to provide home monitoring for patients with diabetic macular edema and macular degeneration.
