SEARCY - The Unity Health Board of Directors is excited to announce the appointment of LaDonna Johnston, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Johnston is an Arkansas native with a Master of Nursing Science from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Harding University, as well as decades of experience in healthcare leadership.

Johnston has served Unity Health as Interim President and CEO since January 2024 and has more than 30 years of experience at Unity Health, having held several leadership roles within the organization most recently including Administrator of Unity Health – Newport, Vice President of Patient Services and Vice President of Nursing Services.

Johnston has experienced much of the growth and change at Unity Health over the years. She is well known among associates and has been instrumental in the leadership of the organization.

Johnston states, “In this role, I understand that healthcare in our country still remains burdened by the events of COVID and its lasting impact. Similar to others, Unity Health continues to push ahead in recovery as we remain focused on improving healthcare in the aftermath of the global pandemic. As we strategically and methodically continue on a path of excellence, our plan is simple and attainable. We will focus our efforts on addressing challenges by incorporating specific goals to continue moving this organization forward with stability and expertise.
