LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) recently announced that Jennifer Anderson, PharmD., MD, has been appointed to the position of associate medical director. She is responsible for performing prescription drug and other specialized clinical reviews for Arkansas Medicaid.

Prior to joining AFMC, Anderson was chief of surgery for the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System and an ophthalmologist at Arkansas Ophthalmology Associates. Moore Anderson plans to continue her practice while at AFMC. 

Anderson, who is also a pharmacist, received her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., in 2004 and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1999. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
