FAYETTEVILLE - Richard Lawson, RN, MSN, has been named Director of Critical Care and Neuro Progressive at Washington Regional Medical Center. He will provide support and direction for the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit, as well as the Neuro Progressive Unit that provides specialized care for patients recovering from stroke or neurosurgery.
After graduating from Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., with an associate’s degree in nursing, Lawson earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in nursing, with emphasis in leadership and management, from Western Governors University. He achieved national certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
Lawson, who joined Washington Regional in 2010, had previously served as the hospital’s Manager of Critical Care and Neuro Progressive.
